Takena Kiwanis Meets every Tuesday, 7:00 AM, at Elmer's Pancake House on Santiam
Highway in Albany, Oregon.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Salvation Army Bell Ringing. This project is done every weekend from Thanksgiving
till Christmas. Takena Kiwanis is the top fund raiser of all kettle sites.
Annual Honors Dessert
The annual Honors Dessert is held in April and honors outstanding students
from the area High Schools. students are chosen based on all around achievement including academics, citizenship, volunteerism and teacher recommendation.
Annual Track Meet
Takena Kiwanis has held the annual track meet for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students for over 35 years.
Students enjoy the chance to compete and every participant receives recognition. This project is held
in cooperation with the Albany Boys and Girls Club.
Annual Berry Sales Project
The annual Berry Sales Project is our biggest fund raiser. We sell fresh strawberries and frozen
Marion, Blueberry and Strawberries with distribution dates in June and August.
