There are many reasons to fall in love with Brownsville. From the stately town bridge spanning the Calapooia river, to the original brick buildings lining main street sparkling under the glass globe street lamps, to the children riding their bikes on a hot summer day to the library where the librarian knows you by name. Brownsville is the kind of town that is perfect for me. The park downtown is where many summers are spent watching my nephew play baseball and swimming in the river with the many kids. The playground is large enough for all the children to play. Pioneer Picnic church service in the park. Watching the sheep and cows giving birth and raising their young in the vibrant green fields brings renewed inspiration every year. Mornings are greeted with the most amazing sunrises peaking over tree –lined hills. Sunsets create the type of golden hour photographers envy, casting the warmest of hues with such intense saturation of colors in the sky all framed by the greenest grass fields in the foreground.
