Phi Theta Kappa Membership
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society of students from two-year colleges. Membership in Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society will open new doors for your academic journey. The organization offers a myriad of opportunities for scholarships, intellectual enrichment and personal development through chapter programs based on Phi Theta Kappa's four hallmarks of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship.
To be eligible for membership a student must:
- Complete a minimum of 12 credits towards an associate degree at LBCC
- Have a grade point average of at least 3.5
- Be currently enrolled in at least 1 credit at LBCC
Applications are available from Dave Becker, our chapter advisor. There is a one-time fee of $70
Twice per year, our chapter mails out a letter to each student who meets the eligibilty requirements inviting them to join Phi Theta Kappa.
During the winter and spring quarters, chapter officers hold orientations to introduce potential members to Phi Theta Kappa and formal induction ceremonies to recognize new members.
